Carol Ann Hopkins December 2, 1940 - June 5, 2024 MATTOON - Carol Ann Hopkins, age 83, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 2:05 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. A funeral service in her honor will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, June 10, 2024, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938. Pastor Dennis Strawn will officiate. A committal service will immediately follow at Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, IL. The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Carol was born on December 2, 1940, in Mattoon, IL, to the late Gilbert J. and Maude M. (Swayze) Michaels. She married Kim E. Hopkins on May 7, 1960, in Dresden, TN; he preceded her in death on October 11, 2020.
