Dennis "Mike" Denning May 6, 1953 - July 19, 2024 MATTOON - Dennis "Mike" Denning, age 71, of Mattoon, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Willow Breeze Hospice House with his family by his side. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Schilling Funeral Home. Funeral Mass honoring his life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 320 North 21st Street, Mattoon, IL, 61938. Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery, in Lincoln IL. Spanky's and Skeeters attire is welcome. Mike was born on May 6, 1953, in Lincoln, IL, the son of John and Dorothy (Wehner) Denning. Survivors include his brothers, John F. (Arlene) Denning of Sullivan, IL, and Jeff Denning of Swansea, IL; and sister, Ann (Randy) Matson of Lincoln, IL. Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
