Edward L. Applegate, Mattoon,IL, entered into Heaven on Sunday July 7, 2024. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday August 3,2024 at the Altamont Christian Church, Altamont,IL. There will be a time of visitation and fellowship immediately following the service. Ed was born January 30,1949, in Mattoon, IL to Charles H. Applegate Sr.and Dorothy J. "Sis"(Turner) Applegate. He married Mary Ellen Cline on July 8, 1990, and she preceded him in death. Ed is survived by a brother, Charles H. Applegate Jr. (Sue) of New Port Richey, FL; granddaughter, Tatyana Mowell Hardin(Dwight) of Mattoon; grandsons Dre Mowell of Charleston, IL and Sam Mowell of Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Kylon and Kalea Hardin of Mattoon; special niece, Tracy Cox (Bill) of Warrensburg, IL; many other nieces and nephews.
