Geraldine "Jerrie" Strong January 9, 1943 - August 21, 2024 MATTOON - Geraldine "Jerrie" Strong, age 81, of Mattoon, passed away on August 21, 2024, at Brookstone Estates. Private graveside services honoring her life will take place at a later date. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family. Jerrie was born on January 9, 1943, in Staten Island, NY, the daughter of Harold and Eileen (Kramer) Kruser. She married James L. Strong on February 14, 1966. He preceded her in death in 1985. Survivors include her sons, Ron Strong of Mattoon, IL, and Kevin (Amy) Strong of Arthur, IL, and Daniel Strong of Neoga, IL; grandchildren, Brody Strong and Mackenzie Strong, both of Arthur, IL; great-grandchildren: Harley Strong of Stewardson, IL, Whitney (Anthony) Shonk of Shumway, IL, and Hattie Mae (Bretton) Crouse of Sullivan, IL; brother, Keith Kruser of Burbank, CA; and sister, Noreen Hundley of Bellflower, CA.
