Patricia (Pat) Ann Casey September 21, 1932 - August 12, 2024 CHARLESTON - Patricia (Pat) Ann Casey, 91, of Charleston died August 12, 2024. She was born in Raymond, IL, September 21, 1932, to Ralph and Augusta Casey. She graduated from Oakland High School, Oakland, IL, in 1950. She received her B.S. in Education from Eastern Illinois University in 1954. She later earned her M. S. in Education from EIU. She leaves a brother: Charles R. Casey, Charleston, IL; a niece, Jackie (Perry) Hampton, St Leonard, Maryland; a nephew Geoffrey (Angie) Casey, Annapolis, MD; and a niece by marriage: Nancy Newman, Baltimore, MD; and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Casey; and nephew, David Casey. Teaching second graders for over 38 years, she started her teaching career at Riverside School in Decatur, IL, moved to Mound Elementary (Decatur) and then finished at Parsons Elementary (Decatur) teaching over 1,000 children.
