Max I. BriggsOctober 22, 1931 - March 9, 2025Max I. Briggs, 93, passed away at home on March 9, 2025, in Lombard, IL. Max was born in Lerna, IL, on October 22, 1931, to Edna and George Briggs. Max, the eighth of nine children, attended Charleston High School in Charleston, IL, and Eastern Illinois University, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in art education. Max, a life-long educator and artist, retired from North Central High School in Indianapolis, IN, in 1991. In addition to his individual professional accomplishments, he was also very active in the Indiana Art Educators Association. Max continued creating and teaching throughout his entire life; he was still teaching his friends and neighbors at his retirement community until his death.While art was a passion for Max, his life was his family. Max is survived by his wife of 68 years, LeAlice; his daughter Ellen; his grandchildren Kate (Rohun), Elizabeth (Anit), Alex (Rachel), and Caroline (Michal); great-grandch
